Mooboo

On Thursday I went to a bubble tea shop called, "Mooboo." It was the second time I've been there. I've only ever had bubble tea from a shop four times; the first time was in the Mooboo in Camden and the other three times were in Soho.

Here are the flavours of bubble tea that I had from the shop each time:

1st time: Taro

2nd time: Papaya
3rd time: Classic
4th time: Classic

The first time I had taro (I've had it twice because I tried my sister's once) it tasted stronger than it did the second time. I'm not sure if this is because a) the second time the person making it put less powder than the first time, b) the second time I had it I was used to it, so it didn't taste as strong c) My taste has changed or d) the first time I had it I had more so I had more time to notice the taste. Whatever the reason is, I certainly preferred it the second time.

My favourite flavours of the ones I've tried are classic and taro; I think papaya wasn't as nice because with artificial flavours it's hard to replicate fruit, so it didn't taste totally like papaya.

I like classic because... well, I like the taste of plain sugary tea a lot. Taro's nice because it's unusual and exotic and creamy... mmm.

I don't think it's really fair to have a favourite flavour when you haven't tried all the flavours, though. At bubble tea it's so hard to choose! Firstly, you can either have hot or cold, then you have the choice of fruit teas, coffee, milk teas and a couple of other options. Then you have to choose the actual specific flavour from the category you've chosen. After that you need to decide on the actual bubbles that are in the tea (They're not actual bubbles; they're like jelly) You have a choice of boba, jelly or popping balls. Boba balls are made out of tapioca flour. They're round and jelly-like.

Jelly is actual jelly cut into squares (And you can choose your flavour.)

Popping balls are the best! They're filled. You get a choice of the filling. I've tried lychee and yogurt before.

Here are the bubbles I had each time I went to have bubble tea:

1st time: Popping balls (Different flavours)

2nd time: Boba
3rd time: Caramel jelly
4th time: Yoghurt popping balls

You have to try bubble tea!!
