Home education

Most of my life I've been homeschooled. When I was younger, I went to nursery but stopped so I could go to Malaysia, where my mom is from. After coming back, I didn't start nursery again. I was home educated. Not because of bullying or my parents being pushy, but because homeschooling is FUN! Being taught at  home does not mean drinking coke and eating crisps in front of the TV all day. It is exciting in its own ways. You get to go on all sorts of fun trips out. You can choose what time and how you would like to learn, as long as you do a certain amount each day. When I was homeschooled, I did not only learn facts but I learnt practical things too, like cooking and crafts. At home you get to learn at your own pace, not at the pace of children around you.

A few months ago, I decided that I would like to try out school. Not to stay there, but to see what it was like. I definitely enjoyed school. I liked hanging out with my new friends but I missed being homeschooled. I missed doing lots of art and reading loads of exciting books. So I decided to spend the last year of  primary school, being flexischooled...
